Create a Stirrup Purse and a Wristlet Purse with a durable, reusable acrylic template set designed for accurate cutting, consistent alignment, and repeatable construction.

The Stirrup Purse and a Wristlet Purse  Acrylic Template Set includes eight pattern pieces,

Use the templates with a pencil, pen, scratch awl, or other marking tool to transfer each component onto your leather. The durable acrylic edges may also be carefully used alongside sharp leather knives and cutting tools.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

This eight-piece acrylic template set includes the components needed to constructStirrup Purse and the Wristlet Purse, including:

• Main exterior body the Stirrup Purse and the Wristlet Purse  

• Two gusset pieces with a zig-zag Connection Stirrup Purse 

• Two tooling Block patterns 

• One liner pattern 

• One D ring pattern

• One Yoke pattern for  the Stirrup Purse and the Wristlet Purse  

Use the small alignment references holes to line up the tooling block patterns on the gusset and the
Yoke. 

Relevant information is permanently laser-engraved onto the acrylic where applicable, including:

• Pattern-piece identification

• Skiving guidance

Review all engraved notes before cutting, punching, skiving, or assembling the leather.

The template controls the critical exterior dimensions and interior alignment while leaving the final selection to the maker.

HAND STITCH OR MACHINE SEW

The Stirrup Purse and the Wristlet Purse can be constructed using either:

• Traditional hand saddle stitching

• A leather-capable sewing machine

Choose the method that best fits your tools, experience, production needs, and desired appearance.

When machine sewing, account for presser-foot clearance and the combined thickness of overlapping layers. When hand stitching, use the engraved references as a guide and select the final stitch spacing, thread size, and hole style appropriate for your materials.

• Laser-cut from durable 1/8-inch tinted cast acrylic

• Transparent enough to see the leather beneath the template

• Suitable for use with pencils, pens, scratch awls, and other leather-marking tools

• Durable enough to be used carefully alongside sharp leatherworking knives and cutting tools

• Permanently engraved with relevant notes, spacing references, and construction markings

Unlike paper or cardstock patterns, the rigid acrylic will not easily bend, distort, tear, or wear out through repeated use.

ACRYLIC COLOR

Due to changing material availability and supply lines, your template may be made from green blue orange,yellow-tinted acrylic. Acrylic color is not selectable and may vary from the product photographs.

The color does not affect the template’s dimensions, durability, markings, or functionality.

IMPORTANT NOTES.

The acrylic may arrive with a removable protective film on one or both sides. Remove the film before using the templates.

Leather thicknesses, stitch spacing, edge treatments, and construction methods should be selected according to the maker’s materials, tools, experience, and desired finished result.
